A Letter A Day

It’s a lesser-known fact that a letter a day keeps the crazy at bay.

Happy National Letter Writing Month! This April, Legacy has joined Egg Press and Hello!Lucky (among others) in promoting creativity and expression through their write_on campaign. By writing 30 letters in 30 days, the write_on campaign hopes to encourage everyone to rediscover the beauty and joy in writing a handwritten note.

Here are the Guidelines:

1. Write one letter a day for the entire month of April.
(Note: We’re a little late here, but I speak on behalf of the write_on campaign when I say, it’s better late than never!)

2. Anything goes.
In my opinion, anything that starts with “Dear” qualifies. So draw, write, or compose…we won’t judge!

3. Buy a stamp and send it.
What’s a letter if it’s not sent? Brighten someone’s day and send each letter to someone different.

4. Hashtag it
If it wasn’t Instagrammed, did it really happen? Showcase your favorite letters and use #write_on to support the campaign!

5. Need some cards? Get ‘em at Shoplegacy!
In support of the campaign, Legacy is offering a special all month long! Buy one week of greeting cards (7 cards) and get a week free by using code WRITEONRT.

Finally, a quick note to all the ‘I don’t have time’-ers (Yeah, I’m talking to you, busy bees!):
We know life is hectic. We know that some days go by and you realize that not only did you forget to eat…you forgot to breathe. But here’s some friendly advice from Legacy: Each one of these letters will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes. That’s 5 to 10 minutes to just sit down and enjoy turning your brain off. For a small window of time, this campaign is giving you permission to write, doodle, create, or connect to someone you love. Take advantage of it. You’ll be happy you did.
