It's official! We're the BEST...
…Best of Floor that is! After a lot of hard work, Legacy was astonished and honored to receive the Best of Floor Award for Outstanding Visual Display at this year’s Americasmart Gift & Home Furnishing Show!

To be honest, for those of us at Legacy, this award feels more like an encouraging bookend to our year of change. Over the past 12 months, Legacy has reimagined our catalog, joined the crazy world of Instagram, made the switch from green to gold, updated our website, created a pretty fabulous blog (wink, wink), and ultimately found a new voice. So when it came time to redesign our Atlanta showroom, we approached it simply as the last piece of a pretty complex rebrand puzzle. We wanted the atmosphere of our showroom to encompass the look and feel of our new catalog and website. It had to be warm yet fresh in design. Beautiful yet innovative. Comfortable yet new...needless to say, we had our work cut out for us.

Over a crazy three weeks, all of Legacy worked around the clock designing, producing, and packing everything needed in order to accomplish the impossible. From signage to window displays, not a detail was left undiscussed. Finally as the show approached, we were packed and ready with only one mission in mind: attempt to execute our (hopefully) well thought-out plans.
One plane ride, three 14-hour days, and several trips to the cookie shop across the street later...and it was done! We did it! Our showroom looked beautiful and everything had come together as planned. Mission accomplished! All that was left to do was to enjoy the show. Though little did we know how wonderfully our hard work would pay off.
It’s important to note that designers, as a whole, are extremely used to our work being overlooked. There’s a saying in the design industry that consumers will only notice design when it is done badly. So you can imagine our surprise when on the last day of the show, we were informed that not only were we noticed, we were winners. And for this enormous gift, we could not be more grateful. So a big thank you, thank you to everyone who had a part in this decision. We truly could not appreciate it more.
